Leadership in Nigeria
"We all long for great leaders but we have just few. Hardly can we find leaders today that stands out in the midst of many, gone are the days when leaders dedicates themselves and times to stand and represent the people as they should, that's why our country Nigeria is where it is today, but now the reverse is the case.
Our leaders here don't care anymore about the important people who voted them in to power, but all they are mindful of is their well being and that of their family members, after getting in to power the first thing is going out of Nigeria for treatment, sponsor their children and other family members abroad for their studies and other things, they don't care what's happening to the youths and other poor people out there who almost die for them, some of our leaders instead of building and making Nigeria a better place, they instead go out there and call us lazy youths after denying us jobs and other relevant opportunities, is only in Nigeria that until u have someone at the top who can stand for you, you won't be recognized, selfishness and tribalism is killing our nation,
There is a yearning in the hearts of men. A longing for someone with a difference and a hope that God will raise among us a Leader that will influence followership by impacting integrity and innovation.
If the 19th century was about military mights and domination, and leadership in the 20th century was about about economic growth and domination, then hopefully the 21st century will be about inspirational leaders because of the crave for great leadership.
Nelson Mandela was one time a president, he was the last surviving leader of all times and the numbers of high profile dignitaries that attended his funeral made his death historic and inspirational.
As a leader the questions you should ask yourself is,what really inspired you? why are you there? Who are you there to represent? What will you be remembered for?
Every Great Leader does not need a second or third term to inspire or influence greatness and followership.
